Rich Wortham

Born on October 22, 1953 in Odessa, Texas, Rich Wortham (Richard Cooper Wortham) played for the Chicago White Sox and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 4 year career. Wortham broke into the bigs on May 3, 1978 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 3.05 ERA in 59 innings pitched in 1978, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Rich Wortham's best season was 1979, when he posted a 4.90 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 119 batters.
