Rich Severson (Richard Allen Severson) was born on January 18, 1945 in Artesia, California. He made his Major League debut on April 10, 1970 for the Kansas City Royals. In 1970, his rookie year, he hit .250 with 1 home run and 22 RBI. Severson played for the Kansas City Royals for his entire 2 year career.
