Rich Renteria (Richard Avina Renteria) was born on December 25, 1961 in Harbor City, California. He made his Major League debut on September 14, 1986 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1993, his rookie year, he hit .255 with 2 home runs and 30 RBI. Renteria played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners and Florida Marlins over the course of his 5 year career.
