Rich Reese (Richard Benjamin Reese) was born on September 29, 1941 in Leipsic, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 4, 1964 for the Minnesota Twins. In 1968, his rookie year, he hit .259 with 4 home runs and 28 RBI. Reese played for the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 9 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Rich Reese's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1969, when he slugged 16 home runs, hit for a .322 average and knocked in 69 runs. However, others believe that it was 1970, when he knocked in 56 runs.
