Rich Owens (Ritchie Darryl Owens) was born on May 22, 1972 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Lincoln (Philadelphia, PA), Owens attended Lehigh University. Owens made his professional debut in the NFL in 1995 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that 1996 was Rich Owens's best year, as he recorded 11 sacks.
