Born on March 22, 1963 in Tampa, Florida, Rich Monteleone (Richard Monteleone) played for the Seattle Mariners, California Angels, New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 10 year career. Monteleone broke into the bigs on April 15, 1987 with the Seattle Mariners, and put up a 3.30 ERA in 92.2 innings pitched in 1992, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Rich Monteleone's best season was 1992, when he posted a 3.30 ERA and struck out 62 batters.
