Rich Hand
[edit] Biography
Born on July 10, 1948 in Bellevue, Washington, Rich Hand (Richard Allen Hand) played for the Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers and California Angels over the course of his 4 year career. Hand broke into the bigs on April 9, 1970 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 3.83 ERA in 159.2 innings pitched in 1970, his rookie year.
There is some disagreement on what was Rich Hand's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1972, when he posted a 3.32 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 109 batters. However, others believe that it was 1970, when he posted a 3.83 ERA and struck out 110 batters.
