Rich Butler (Richard Dwight Butler) was born on May 1, 1973 in Toronto, Ontario (Canada). He made his Major League debut on September 6, 1997 for the Toronto Blue Jays. In 1998, his rookie year, he hit .226 with 7 home runs and 20 RBI. Butler played for the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Devil Rays over the course of his 3 year career.
