[edit] Biography

Born on April 18, 1959 in San Francisco, California, Rich Bordi (Richard Albert Bordi) played for the Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 9 year career. Bordi broke into the bigs on July 16, 1980 with the Oakland Athletics, and put up a 3.46 ERA in 83.1 innings pitched in 1984, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Rich Bordi's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1985, when he posted a 3.21 ERA and struck out 64 batters. However, others believe that it was 1986, when he posted a 4.46 ERA and struck out 83 batters.
