Rich Amaral (Richard Louis Amaral) was born on April 1, 1962 in Visalia, California. He made his Major League debut on May 27, 1991 for the Seattle Mariners. In 1993, his rookie year, he hit .290 with 1 home run and 44 RBI. Amaral played for the Seattle Mariners and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 10 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Rich Amaral's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1993, when he hit for a .290 average. However, others believe that it was 1996, when he stole 25 bases and hit for a .292 average.
