Rhoten Shetley (Rhoten Nathan Shetley) was born on February 7, 1918 in Wolf Creek, Tennessee. Shetley attended Furman University. Shetley made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers the entire time. Shetley also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers the entire time.
