Rhett Dawson (Rhett Motte Dawson) was born on December 22, 1948 in Valdosta, Georgia. After going to high school at Valdosta (GA), Dawson attended Florida State University. Dawson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Minnesota Vikings and Houston Oilers over the course of his 2 year career.
Most people believe that 1972 was Rhett Dawson's best year.
