Born on October 8, 1916 in Lindsay, Oklahoma, Rex Cecil (Rex Rolston Cecil) played for the Boston Red Sox for his entire 2 year career. Cecil broke into the bigs on August 13, 1944 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 5.16 ERA in 61 innings pitched in 1944, his rookie year.
