LOL...Actually Mark Blount is going to be in the trade, but let's breakdown the potential trade:
Minny gets Michael Doleac, Antoine Walker, and Wayne Simien
The Wolves would be getting a young power forward, who is motivated (Simien)...and that's the type of player they need to add. The Minnesota winters get long for veterans (crappy attendance, cold winters, every trip is a loooong road trip), and young, hungry guys are exactly what McHale's Army needs. While we're on the subject of hungry, Antoine Walker is always hungry, and Pat Riley can't stand it anymore. Riley thought that it would take till January for AW8 (yes, I still have and own the sneakers) to get into shape. Riley obviously thought that he would have a heart attack, and packaged Doleac with 'em, just in case there had to be on-court open-heart surgery done. Walker has one less year left than Blount, and Blount doesn't like Jefferson, so this trade makes sense for Minnesota.
Miami gets Ricky Davis and Mark Blount
I actually played with Ricky Davis, at Venice Beach, a couple years back. He was a model citizen. He only stopped the game two times for excessive arguing and passed the ball every possession (to the rim). How is he going to do in Riles' system? Probably good. Riles' is all about athleticism, and Davis brings it. Will he be a good citizen in South Beach? If Anthony Mason could do it, he can. The only headline that he'll produce will be, "Ricky Davis and his entourage weren't let into Crobar, because they didn't meet the dress code requirements. Davis let out a profanity laced tirade, and peeled out in his Escalade (which was illegally parked in a fire zone). He'll be trouble as a third scorer, though. Once everybody is healthy, they will be better than the Cavs, and right there with the Pistons and Celts. Jason Williams is back to his old run and gun style (two years removed from knee surgery), and D Wade will be okay. Shaq is divorced, and that's probably the worst news for NBA centers in a long time. Blount is a good backup center, but is enigmatic. He's not really worth another sentence. Look out, South Beach, Ricky Davis is back!!!!!
