Born on February 24, 1966 in Havana, Cuba, Rene Arocha (Rene (Magaly) Arocha) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 4 year career. Arocha broke into the bigs on April 9, 1993 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.78 ERA in 188 innings pitched in 1993, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Rene Arocha's best season was 1993, when he posted a 3.78 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 96 batters.
