[edit] Biography

Born on May 23, 1948 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan (Canada), Reggie Cleveland (Reginald Leslie Cleveland) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Texas Rangers and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 13 year career. Cleveland broke into the bigs on October 1, 1969 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 4.01 ERA in 222 innings pitched in 1971, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Reggie Cleveland's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1973, when he posted a 3.01 ERA, won 14 games and struck out 122 batters. However, others believe that it was 1971, when he posted a 4.01 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 148 batters.
