Reggie Bush to Hang Up Cleats For Ballroom Dance Shoes
NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans Saints running back, Reggie Bush recently announced he is taking a leave of absence from the NFL to pursue fame on the hit ABC reality show Dancing With The Stars. “I just know I could be great on that show and I don’t want to take the risk of it being cancelled before I retire”, the former USC star told local media. The talented and often hyped Bush has looked frustrated since becoming a pro in 2006. Known for his quick feet and elusive abilities in college, Bush showed that his dancing abilities are limited when several giant defenders are attempting to pull him down. “In college no one tried to tackle me. Now that I’m in the NFL, everyone’s trying to throw me into the ground and stifle my creativity. They’re just jealous”. In college, Bush had been compared to great runners in history like O.J. Simpson and Barry Sanders. Since then his image is now mostly juxtaposed against Subway sandwich pitchman Jared Fogel. Still, Bush believes that his true talents will come through on the dance floor. “People have been comparing me to Emmit Smith my whole life, now I’ll be able to show them that I can be just as good.”
