Redskins get lucky

Don't know how many of you had the pleasure of watching my beloved Redskins narrowly escape another 4th quarter meltdown this past Sunday. As I fast forwarded my Tivo through the huddles and subpar commentary from the announcers (I can't get Sonny and Sam on the radio) out in the country where I live, I was once again appalled at the lack of production from the Redskins offense in the 2nd half. Run left for 1 yard on first down, then run right for 3 yards on second down then throw short of the first down marker on 3rd down. What happened to mixing it up on first down and throwing? What happened to play action pass and throwing deep to Santana Moss to stretch the defense? Is the Cardinals defense really that good? I think not! If the Redskins don't want another disappointing non playoff year, Joe Gibbs and his highly paid Offensive Coordinator Al Saunders better start mixing it up and throwing the ball downfield. Their schedule is definitely workable with 5 of their remaining 10 games against teams that are currently below five hundred. The defense is playing great and now we just need the offense to get it in gear so we can finish at 11-5 or even 10-6 and be a Wild Card team. Sorry to be so pessimistic but the last several years of heart breaking defeats have worn on me.
