Jaguars 49, Raiders 11 - Wake up people! Outside of the Indianapolis Colts, the Jacksonville Jaguars may possibly be the biggest threat to knock off the Patriots. This really wasn't an exciting game for the average fan but it was important for the development of this young Jags team. Earlier in the season, the Jags had a pretty mellow offense but still had a stifling defense. Now, they have an potent offense that may be just as good as their defense. Quarterback David Garrard continued to be efficient as always throwing just his third interception of the year to go along with two touchdown passes. Running back Fred Taylor showed Pro Bowl voters why he should be in Hawaii in February by rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown on just seven carries. This is a very scary football team.
Lions 25, Chiefs 20 - Detroit might not reach Jon Kitna's predicted ten games but they still might reach a .500 record, which isn't too bad considering that Matt Millen still runs this team.
Colts 38, Texans 15 - Nothing really much to watch here, as the Colts performed their annual victory over the playoff aspiring Texans. Peyton Manning and company were efficient as usual as six of the first eight Colt drives resulted in points. Tony Dungy will be sitting people next week against the Titans.
Eagles 38, Saints 23 - Well, put it in the books, the Saints were a one hit wonder. So many times this season, the had winnable games that they just threw out the window. Losing Marques Colston to a chest contusion doesn't help too much but still the Eagles aren't that good.
Giants 38, Bills 21 - All season long the Giants have tried to be a finesse team offensively with Eli Manning, Amani Toomer, and Jeremy Shockey. However, they finally used their most effective offense this season: the running game. Pounding the ball with Brandon Jacobs, the G-Men were able to come back from a 14-0 defecit..
Bears 35, Packers 7 - If the Green Bay Packers were too play one more sloppy game than it was best to get that out of their system. The loss gave home field advantage to Dallas Cowboys. Packers punter Jon Ryan had a terrible game in the cold a with two blocked punts, a bad snap, and a nine yard punt. Ouch!
Bengals 19, Browns 14 - The Bengals finally showed up and looked like they kinda-sort of cared. For once, Derek Anderson and the Browns' offense appeared mortal, but they still almost came back from a 19-0 halftime deficit.
Cardinals 30, Falcons 27 - The Cardinals did pull this off in overtime but how bad is their defense? Arizona defense gave up over 300 yards passing to Chris Redman.
Titans 10, Jets 6 - Thanks to the egg that the Browns layed in Cincinnati, the Titans actually have a chance to make the playoff, despite another terrible offensive football game. They say that Vince Young is great because he just wins but maybe its just the fact that he has a great defense right now.
[1] 49ers 21, Buccaneers 19 - Maybe this Shaun Hill guy is actually pretty good. Last week, he had a big game with two touchdowns, leading the Niners to a victory over the Bengals. This week, Hill threw three touchdown passes in a victory over the Bucs. Maybe he deserves a shot?
Patriots 28, Dolphins 7 - Another Patriots game in which Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and comapny destroyed their opponents. Brady needs two more touchdown passes to set the all-time single season mark.
Seahawks 27, Ravens 6 - The 'Hawks beat up on another lousy opponent. Troy Smith actually got the start but he looked pretty mediocre.
