Red Steele (Percy Davis Steele) was born on August 9, 1897 in McArthur, Ohio. Steele attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Miami University of Ohio. Steele made his professional debut in the APFA in 1921 with the Canton Bulldogs. He played for the Canton Bulldogs for his entire 1 year career.
