Red Ormsby

Red Ormsby was a great umpire in the AL. He is the reason that we have plastic cups at the ball games. The reason is while umpiring a a game he was struck on the head by a flying bottle from a angry fan. Another story is that he had suffered from heat exhustion and was taken out from a browns vs. white sox game and this lead to the rising of a great umpire. He was a father of 12 Kids and lived in Chicago.
