Born on May 19, 1886 in Cleveland, Ohio, Red Nelson (Albert Francis Nelson) played for the St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 4 year career. Nelson broke into the bigs on September 9, 1910 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 2.55 ERA in 60 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Red Nelson's best season was 1910, when he posted a 2.55 ERA.
