Red McKee (Raymond Ellis McKee) was born on July 20, 1890 in Shawnee, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on April 19, 1913 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1913, his rookie year, he hit .283 with 1 home run and 20 RBI. McKee played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 4 year career.
Most people believe that Red McKee's best season was 1913, when he hit for a .283 average.
