Red Massey (Roy Hardee Massey) was born on October 9, 1890 in Sevierville, Tennessee. He made his Major League debut on April 16, 1918 for the Boston Braves. In 1918, his rookie year, he hit .291 with 0 home runs and 18 RBI. Massey played for the Boston Braves for his entire 1 year career.
