[edit] Biography

Born on September 6, 1888 in Cascade, Iowa, Red Faber (Urban Clarence Faber) played for the Chicago White Sox for his entire 20 year career. Faber broke into the bigs on April 17, 1914 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 2.68 ERA in 181.1 innings pitched in 1914, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Red Faber's best season was 1915 Major League Baseball 1915, when he posted a 2.55 ERA, won 24 games and struck out 182 batters.
