Red Durrett (Elmer Cable Durrett) was born on February 3, 1921 in Sherman, Texas. He made his Major League debut on September 14, 1944 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. Durrett played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 2 year career.
