Red Daum (Carl V. Daum) was born on September 18, 1898 in Akron, Ohio. Daum attended the University of Akron. Daum made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Akron Pros. He played for the Akron Pros and Akron Indians over the course of his 5 year career.
