Reb Russell (Lafayette H. Russell) was born on May 31, 1905 in Oswatomie, Kansas. After going to high school at Mexico Military Academy (Mexico, MO), Russell attended Northwestern University and the University of Nebraska. Russell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles for his entire 1 year career.
