Real Madrid put on a show to remember with a 5-0 thrashing of Villareal away from home. Seeing them pass the ball so fluently was a sight to behold and their finishing was impeccable. Raul scored the only goal for the visitors in the first half but thes econd half was all one way traffic. Sneijder got his first of the game through a brilliantly taken free kick and added a second to his name later on. Van Nistelrooy and Guti completed the rout which took them to the top of the table. Barcelona kept up with them with a 3-1 win at home to Athletic Bilbao with 2 goals from Ronaldinho(one penalty) in a game which saw both sides reduced to 10 men. Else where Juventus left it to the last minute to secure a 3-2 win away from home at Cagliari. Trezeguet, Del Piero and Chiellini netted the goals for the Old Lady. AS Roma were comfortable 3-0 winners at home to Siena.
