Ray Whipple (Raymond Christopher Whipple) was born on November 14, 1893. After going to high school at Elgin (IL), Whipple attended the University of Notre Dame. Whipple made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Detroit Heralds. He played for the Detroit Heralds for his entire 1 year career.
