Ray Waddy (Raymond Waddy) was born on August 21, 1956 in Freeport, Texas. After going to high school at Brazoswood (Freeport, TX), Waddy attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University-Kingsville and Wharton Country Junior College. Waddy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1979 with the Washington Redskins. He played for the Washington Redskins for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1979 was Ray Waddy's best year.
