Ray Snell (Ray Michael Snell) was born on February 24, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland. After going to high school at Northwestern (Hyattsville, MD), Snell attended the University of Wisconsin. Snell made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 6 year career.
