Ray Sanders

Ray Sanders (Raymond Floyd Sanders) was born on December 4, 1916 in Bonne Terre, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1942 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .252 with 5 home runs and 39 RBI. Sanders played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Braves over the course of his 6 year career.
Most people believe that Ray Sanders's best season was 1944, when he hit for a .295 average and knocked in 102 runs.
