Ray Richards (Raymond W. Richards) was born on July 16, 1906 in Liberty, Nebraska. After going to high school at Pawnee City (NE), Richards attended the University of Nebraska. Richards made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Frankford Yellow Jackets. He played for the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions and Frankford Yellow Jackets over the course of his 5 year career.
