Ray Rhodes (Raymond Earl Rhodes) was born on October 20, 1950 in Mexia, Texas. After going to high school at Mexia (TX), Rhodes attended Texas Christian University and the University of Tulsa. Rhodes made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1975 was Ray Rhodes's best year, as he had 537 receiving yards and caught 6 TD passes.
