Ray Mueller (Ray Coleman Mueller) was born on March 8, 1912 in Pittsburg, Kansas. He made his Major League debut on May 11, 1935 for the Boston Braves. In 1937, his rookie year, he hit .251 with 2 home runs and 26 RBI. Mueller played for the Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds and New York Giants over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Ray Mueller's best season was 1944, when he hit for a .286 average and knocked in 73 runs.
