Ray Mansfield (James Ray Mansfield) was born on January 21, 1941 in Bakersfield, California. After going to high school at Kennewick (WA), Mansfield attended the University of Washington. Mansfield made his professional debut in the NFL in 1963 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that 1970 was Ray Mansfield's best year.
