Ray Kuffel (Raymond F. Kuffel) was born on December 9, 1921 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After going to high school at (Milwaukee, WI), Kuffel attended Marquette University and the University of Notre Dame. Kuffel made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1947 with the Buffalo Bills. He played for the Chicago Hornets, Chicago Rockets and Buffalo Bills over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1948 was Ray Kuffel's best year.
