Ray Krouse (Raymond Francis Krouse) was born on March 21, 1927 in Washington, District Of Columbia. After going to high school at Western (Washington, DC), Krouse attended the University of Maryland. Krouse made his professional debut in the NFL in 1951 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants, Baltimore Colts, Detroit Lions and Washington Redskins over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1952 was Ray Krouse's best year.
