Ray Jones (Raymond Jones) was born on December 24, 1947 in Lufkin, Texas. After going to high school at Peabody (Alexandria, LA), Jones attended Southern University. Jones made his professional debut in the NFL in 1970 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the San Diego Chargers, New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1970 was Ray Jones's best year.
