Ray Ilg (Raymond A. Ilg) was born on November 25, 1945 in Wellesley, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Wellesley (MA), Ilg attended Colgate University. Ilg made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the Boston Patriots. He played for the Boston Patriots for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1967 was Ray Ilg's best year.
