Born on April 27, 1961 in Enid, Oklahoma, Ray Hayward (Raymond Alton Hayward) played for the San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers over the course of his 3 year career. Hayward broke into the bigs on September 20, 1986 with the San Diego Padres, and put up a 5.46 ERA in 62.2 innings pitched in 1988, his rookie year.
