Ray French (Raymond Edward French) was born on January 9, 1895 in Alameda, California. He made his Major League debut on September 17, 1920 for the New York Yankees. French played for the New York Yankees, Brooklyn Robins and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 3 year career.
