Born on October 4, 1887 in Middlebury, Vermont, Ray Fisher (Ray Lyle Fisher) played for the New York Highlanders, New York Yankees and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 10 year career. Fisher broke into the bigs on July 2, 1910 with the New York Highlanders, and put up a 2.92 ERA in 92.1 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Ray Fisher's best season was 1915, when he posted a 2.11 ERA, won 18 games and struck out 97 batters.
