Ray Durham (Ray Durham) was born on November 30, 1971 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 26, 1995 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1995, his rookie year, he hit .257 with 7 home runs and 51 RBI. Durham played for the Chicago White Sox, Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 12 year career.
Most people believe that Ray Durham's best season was 1998, when he slugged 19 home runs, stole 36 bases, hit for a .285 average and knocked in 67 runs.

- Ray Durham became the 10th person ever to post 15 home runs, 100 runs scored, 20 steals, a .450 slugging percentage, and 65 RBI in three consecutive seasons.
- Ray Durham has also gained fame and popularity through his nickname: "Ray-Ray." As he once said in a clubhouse interview, Durham prefers the nickname because it brings out his youthful attitude and enjoyment of the game of baseball.
- He was once nicknamed "The Sugarman" as well.
