Ray Crone

Born on August 7, 1931 in Memphis, Tennessee, Ray Crone (Raymond Hayes Crone) played for the Milwaukee Braves, New York Giants and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 5 year career. Crone broke into the bigs on April 13, 1954 with the Milwaukee Braves, and put up a 3.46 ERA in 140.1 innings pitched in 1955, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Ray Crone's best season was 1956, when he posted a 3.87 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 73 batters.
