Thanks Peyton. You make it really hard for a guy to get any sort of trust from his readers when you shatter my predictions. And just for that, I will fast forward through all of your commercials. I know that this will make my commercial breaks much shorter, making Molly (the Fiance) go to the bathroom faster, but thanks to TIVO I can do this. That will show you Mr. Manning.
I get really tired of mainstream media. We only have a few options for sports news on the television here in Seattle: ESPN or local. Local is filled with smiles and junk, while ESPN is filled with the Yankees and Red Sox, Patriots and Colts and the Steroid scandal. Can’t I hear about what may be happening somewhere else? There were two days before ESPN commented on Mack Strong and the local news made it seem like it was the end of the world.
I just wish that there was some separation. I wish that I could turn on ESPN and get news that matters as opposed to what record Brady is projected to break, or that the Yankees are jerking players around, or that Boston fans are still jerks. I want to see a story about something else.
I want to see the story of the teams in the MLB playoffs, and not the montage that they like to use. I want to see what is going on in College Football PAST the top 25 and the teams on the Bible Belt.
Now that the Colts won ESPN started talking about the Manning/Brady feud that we all wish would happen. Molly and I actually discussed how awesome it would be if Peyton stole Giselle out from under Tom. That would show the pretentious prick. “He is SOOOOO nice.” Do we know this? Have you talked to him personally? Brady looks like a jerk to me. As I have watched him this season I have watched him become cocky. There is a look on his face that doesn’t say: “This is fun” but says: “I am so much better then these jerks.”
That may be true. He may be the best out there, but he doesn’t get to say it about himself. Is he going to call himself a “soldier” next?
