As the St. Louis Rams prepare for their showdown today against the Seattle Seahawks, they’ll have to go without star running back Stephen Jackson for yet another week.
Jackson has been struggling with a partially torn groin for almost a month now and has now been officially listed as out of the game on Sunday. Jackson was also out of last week’s game.
The Rams are expected to hand the ball off to rookie Brian Leonard.
The Rams are 25th in rushing yards this season. Jackson leads the team with 233 yards on 69 carries and no touchdowns. He also has three fumbles. The most fumbles given up in his career was four and that was last season.
The Rams are the only team in the NFL not to score a rushing touchdown.
Dante Hall Down
Wide receiver/ kick returner Dante Hall is also out of Sunday’s game against the Seahawks with a severe sprained left ankle.
Hall has struggled for much of the year, with the exception of the 85-yard punt return touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys. Hall also has two fumbles on the season. The returner also missed last week’s loss against the Baltimore Ravens.
Bulger Makes Return
Quarterback Marc Bulger will return to the lineup on Sunday, after missing two straight games with a couple of broken ribs.
Bulger suffered the injury during the Rams 35-7 loss to the Cowboys. He has two touchdown passes and four interceptions on the year.
Other Random Stats
The Rams have gone 4-6 against the Seahawks since the league was realigned in 2002. Last season the Rams were swept in the season series against the Seahawks.
One big issue that has troubled the Rams this season has been their scoring. The Rams have scored only 73 points this season, worst in the NFL.
