Born on January 5, 1973 in Guayubin, Monte Cristi (Dominican Republic), Ramon Tatis (Ramon Francisco (Medrano) Tatis) played for the Chicago Cubs and Tampa Bay Devil Rays over the course of his 2 year career. Tatis broke into the bigs on April 6, 1997 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 5.34 ERA in 55.2 innings pitched in 1997, his rookie year.
