Ramon Martinez (Ramon E. Martinez) was born on October 10, 1972 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on June 20, 1998 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1999, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 5 home runs and 19 RBI. Martinez played for the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 9 year career.
